JOEY ARMSTRONG
Biography
Joey had a background in graffiti, and started tattooing in 2003 at the renowned Goldfieldʼs Tattoo. He worked alongside longtime friend Luke Stewart, and in 2007 Joey moved on to join Luke and the rest of the crew at 7th Son. Being one of the first tattooers at 7th Son, Joey was a huge part of making the shop what it is today. After 10 years there, Joey moved out of state to open his own shop Thunderhand Tattoo, in Richland Washington.
Though Joey has relocated, he comes back to 7th Son monthly to work on his Bay Area clientele. Whether its a full back piece or small one point tattoo, Joey loves creating Imagery such as skulls, spiders, flowers and snakes.
When not tattooing, Joey enjoys spending time with his wife and kids and training Brazilian Jiu-jitsu where he is a black belt under Ralph Gracie.
